Calvin Cooper

Calvin is a Venture Partner on the NCT Ventures investment team and focuses on identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities, market and competitive intelligence, strategy, fundraising, portfolio management, and diversity & underserved market initiatives. He represents NCT on the Board of Directors of portfolio companies including SafeChain and Kare Intellex. Additionally, Calvin is a member of the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center YEx Advisory Board.

Prior to joining the NCT family, Calvin served in an executive role at OMSDC where he conducted the merger due diligence and integration of regional organizations. He has experience in supplier diversity and business development, connecting diverse-owned companies to Fortune 1000 corporations. He also founded and launched the MBE Academy in partnership with the City of Columbus. Additionally, Calvin has 10 years marketing and public relations experience that includes creating and publishing the Connections Magazine, government affairs, strategy, marketing, and promotion. As a researcher, he led and co-authored the National Survey on Access to Capital Among Minority Business Enterprises. Calvin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Capital University in Financial Economics.
