Nucleate Pitch Competition

Nucleate’s flagship program, the Activator, is aimed at supporting the formation of life sciences companies solving pressing biomedical challenges. We identify, educate, and empower academic trainees to translate their groundbreaking science into successful companies through: team formation between technical, business, and clinical expertise, expert support with experienced mentors and in-kind services, rigorous curriculum featuring bi-weekly workshops with hands-on feedback from industry experts. The Activator will culminate in a final pitch where teams showcase their progress and gain exposure amongst various stakeholders in the ecosystem.

Teams presenting:

  • GRASP robotics: a prosthetic/robotic hand that can replicate the dexterity, speed, and strength of a human hand in the same size and shape
  • Big Data Small Scales: AI methods for computer vision to streamline automated analysis of complex objects using electron microscopy
  • Flurgent: A reliable assay for the transport of detergents in a lipidic environment
  • Alexin: Peptide therapeutics for cancer
